Course Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to describe pending changes in STD testing methodologies.
  2. Participants will better understand specific specimen submission requirements for NCSLPH.
  3. Participants will be able to describe trichomoniasis testing challenges for women and men.
  4. Participants will be able to define appropriate treatment for trichomoniasis including for pregnant women.
  5. Participants will be able to discuss epidemiology, diagnosis and management of genital ulcer disease.
  6. Participants will be able to discuss the key principles for provider-delivered interventions to reduce sexual risk behaviors.
  7. Participants will list changes for management of STDs per CDC 2010 guidelines.
  8. Participants will be able to discuss the dynamics of NC syphilis and HIV morbidity.
  9. Participants will identify areas of the scannable form requiring specific data.

  2. Download the evaluation form (Word 79 KB) and the sign in sheet (Word 43KB).

Contact hour certificates will be sent upon receipt of the evaluation and sign in sheet.
